What an incredible story line. Toys that are alive and have a community of their own? The popularity of these toy characters was so overwhelming that websites and stores began marketing the kids toy story costumes and these were an incredible success. At Halloween and parties for children or adults you would always find one of these characters.
In 1995 Sheriff Woody was an unknown. The movie made him very lovable. It was also not realized that his nemesis Buzz Lightyear would try to take his place in the heart of Andy, the young human in this movie. Woody became jealous of Buzz and tried to dispose of him. In doing this they both vanished. They had to return home before Andy moved away without them. The two form a partnership to find a way to get home and escape the cruel hands of Sid Phillips, the toy killer.
The fiendish toy collector in the 1999 release kidnaps Woody. Buzz comes to his rescue. In this story Woody unfortunately has his arm broken but to the relief of all it is repaired. They have a lot of adventures, Woody is rescued, and they are back home safe with Andy at the end of this movie.
Toy Story 3 is yet to be released. The planned released date is June 2010. There are new adventures to be experienced by the toys but it seems that Andy may not be around since he is going to college.
Toy story 3 costumes available at the moment are Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Cowgirl Jessie, Rex, Bo Peep, Alien, and the Green Army Man. Some accessories such as some hats, bandanas, and guns are options and have to be ordered separately.
Toy story halloween costumes are made of polyester and washable. They usually consist of a jumpsuit with some options like makeup and footwear. For example, the Buzz Lightyear is an incredible realistic jumpsuit, a detachable hood, a jet pack, glowsticks, and boot covers.
For Woody you will have a red bandana and a wonderful vest with an attached star and a black satin on the back of the vest. You will also be able to wear the long sleeved shirt that is adorned with pearlized buttons. There are jeans that have an elastic in the back of the waistline. And Woody also wears chaps of faux suede that are part of the jeans. All you have to buy to finish this outfit is the Woody hat and the belt and holster.
The Cowgirl Jessie outfit consists of a jumpsuit that has a western belt attached to it. The cow-print chaps and cuffs are very stylish as is red hat and hair bow. The super cowgirl boots do not come with this package but they really finish it off.
The adorable Bo Beep toy wears a pink and blue dress. With this comes blue bloomers and a hat and a staff. In this outfit there is quite a bit of trim so as the other costumes it is not washable but spot cleaning is recommended. Her pretty little shoes are not part of the package.
The costume that is a blue polyester jumpsuit closing in the back with Velcro is made for the Alien. The Pizza Planet Logo is printed on the chest of the suit. A zany mask with three eyes, ears and antenna is included in this package.
The success of these movies has spawned the astonishing lucrative market for the outfits that the toys wear. Possibly the new release will present us with new toy story costumes. Some of the outfits for the new toys are already being marketed.
